Whatever challenge you are facing in your life, counselling and psychotherapy can help you make sense of your emotions, understand yourself better and work towards making positive changes in your life.
Hi, my name is Natalie and I am a UKCP Integrative and IFS trained Psychotherapist, Counsellor and HCPC registered Arts Therapist. I have been helping clients for over 16 years in a range of settings including the NHS. I am also a Trainer and Group Facilitator.
I provide psychotherapy and counselling for individual adults, parents, young people and children in person and online space.
I work for a national organisation that provides therapy for people who are neurodivergent, particularly those with dyslexia. This can include improving self confidence and self esteem, developing social skills and coping strategies as well as addressing any other attributed issues such as anxiety or depression.
I also work with adopters, and foster carers in partnership with local authorities across London and the South East, and I run courses and training in London and the home counties.
I can also provide creative clinical and coaching supervision if you are a practitioner to help you reflect on and develop your practice as well as providing supervision workers and managers in the charity sector and local authority and support for students. This includes support with case studies, client work, essay writing or vivas.
If you come to the Rotherhithe practice, you may meet the resident cat, who may occasionally dignify you with a sniff or allow you to say hello if you wish. She appears to have embraced the notions of active listening and empathy, as she will leave if you would prefer it!
For more information about how Psychotherapy and Counselling in Rotherhithe and Brockley can help, see ‘My Approach’.
Psychotherapy and counselling can provide you with a confidential space to discuss the difficulties that you feel are causing concern. I am here to listen with warmth and empathy, to help you reflect on your experiences and offer you a fresh perspective so you can understand yourself better and find your own answers from within.
I work from a trauma informed, psychodynamic, attachment, humanistic, IFS and neurobiological perspective. In practice, this means I am interested in hearing your story about your early experiences and relationships, and how this impacts your everyday life now. I am also curious about how the different ‘parts’ of you work in your life. If you imagine roles or ‘hats’ you might wear when you are with different people – the mother, people pleaser, inner critic, 'show off', hard worker etc - I will then think about how I can bring my clinical experience to support you as we work together towards the goals you have for yourself.

Both of my trainings have focused on relationships: the ones we have with ourselves and those we have with the people around us. When we work together the relational dynamics can act as ‘maps’ that we can figure out together.
People usually think of therapy as hard work and often it is, however, it can also be a place to celebrate emotional shifts and changes that have been thought about together and then put into practice in your 'real' life. There is also a joy in sharing laughter with someone that ‘gets you’ that can be healing in itself.
For more information please see the Courses page.
I can work online or in person from my consultations room in Rotherhithe and Brockley. Online, I can work with anyone in the UK or internationally via a video platform, such as Zoom.
Both in person locations are accessible from across London via the underground and there is parking nearby, which means I can work with clients from Lewisham, Peckham, Vauxhall, Lambeth, Brixton, Streatham, Bromley, Barking, Sidcup, Stratford, Woolwich, Welling, Bexleyheath and the surrounding areas.
More precise location details will be provided when you book your first appointment with me.
